Become a Champion

Become a Volunteer Champion & “Meet the Need” in Your Community!

At Meet the Need, we’re committed to ensuring no one in Aotearoa goes hungry. We transform generous milk and livestock donations from farmers into meals for food banks and community organisations across New Zealand. With cash contributions from individuals, businesses, and organisations, we fund additional protein-rich meals for those in need.

How We Help

Since our launch in 2020, we’ve delivered 2.1 million mince and milk meals and support over 130 food banks monthly.

Currently, there are more than 100 food banks and community groups on our waitlist. By joining our Champion program, you can drive donations and fill fridges and freezers at local food banks.

Volunteer Champions play a vital role in representing our charity at events, seeking donation opportunities, and networking with farmers and other potential sponsors. You will raise awareness of Meet The Need and build support for our cause within your region.

This leadership position supports local communities and promotes our vision of ensuring that no one in New Zealand goes hungry or lacks nourishment.

If you’re ready to help join our mission, we want to hear from you.
